Get ready for an unforgettable weekend. A weekend of friendship and memories. A weekend of inspiration, Jewish pride and unity. We will be taking a group from Rochester to join the the International CTeen Shabbaton, which is an annual weekend convention for Jewish teens in 9-12 grades from around the world in NYC. There is a special reduced cost for members of our group - more details to follow as the Shabbaton nears...but SAVE THE DATE!

OPTIONAL: JOIN THE CTEEN JKIDS FAMILY EVENTS TEAM: Looking for a community service opportunity? Once a month on a Sunday morning, Chabad runs Jkids famlies events from 10:30-12. We are looking for some dedicated teen volunteers to help set up and run the game and activity booths. If you are interested in bring more smiles to the faces of kids and earning community service hours too - let Rabbi Yitzi know and he'll add you to the squad!

SHINSHINIM The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester has launched the ShinShinim program in Rochester. ShinShinim (a Hebrew acronym for Shnat Sherut or “year of service”) are the best and brightest of Israel’s recent high school graduates who defer army service for one year to become Israel emissaries in Jewish communities around the world. They volunteer, engage people of all ages with Israel and bring Israeli culture to life throughout the community. Two of the ShinShinim (young emissaries), Ori and Yael, will be working at Cteen every week in an involved way. We will learn hebrew phrases and words as we do our activities, as well as learn about life in Israel as a teen and about what it is really like to live in Israel. This will enhance all the programs going and we will be able to learn some spoken Hebrew along the way too!
